Dysphagia at End of Life
This course consists of one presentation with supporting documents.

This seminar will discuss oral feeding difficulties and dilemmas with emphasis on practical care at the end of life. Illustrative case studies will be an integral component of this course. Several pre-recorded videofluoroscopic examinations are included at the end of the video for self-review and practice.
This course is offered for 0.3 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate Level; Professional area).
CEU Credits and Prices
- You will receive a certificate of completion from BRS-S within three weeks of completing the application and submitting to BRS-S.
- ASHA CEU credits will be processed through the Specialty Board on Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders and submitted to ASHA twice yearly; on March 31 and September 30. For example: if you participant in the course in October, your credits will not be processed until the following year.

Presenter
Paula A. Sullivan, M.S., CCC-SLP, BRS-S Malcom Randall VA Center
Ms. Sullivan is a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Malcom Randall VA Center, Gainesville, Florida. She is a Board Recognized Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. Paula's primary clinical and research focus is in the area of swallowing disorders in geriatrics, head and neck cancer and end of life care. Paula authored and co-authored numerous chapters and publications on dysphagia management in head and neck cancer and at end of life. Book contributions include Swallowing Intervention in Oncology and Easy-to-Swallow, Easy-to-Chew Cookbook. Paula is former Coordinator of ASHA's Division 13, Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. She is an ASHA Fellow.
