  • This course will focus on the pathogenesis of aspiration pneumonia in dysphagic patients, oral health and its contribution to systemic disease and pneumonia, and the delivery of effective oral care that may mitigate aspiration pneumonia risk in dysphagic adults. This course consists of the BRS-S presentation of the 2010 Meet the Masters Symposium.  The live event took place the evening before the start of the 2010 ASHA convention in Philadelphia, PA and was recorded for posting here at the BRS-S continuing education web site.

Once you have subscribed to this presentation, you will need to download the handouts. Click on any of the links at the bottom of the page to be taken to the Subscriptions page.

Each speaker’s presentation is accompanied by a printable handout (file names correspond with speaker names and order of each speaker’s presentation). The recording of the slides was performed using a process that has made some of the smaller font text a bit fuzzy; the handouts are perfect reproductions of the speakers’ materials.
